As the Strategy for Fostering a Social Platform where Artist Residents can Encounter Unexpected Interactions and Decisions, Three Layers of Structural Elements are Used. Shear Walls, and its Relationship with its Adjacent Surroundings, and the Double-Skin Facade are the Layers that Seamlessly Create In-Between Spaces, while it Serves at the Structure at the Same Time. The Placement of the Solid Shear Walls are Defined Firstly in order to Synthesize Maximized Openness, Visual Connectivity, and Gathering Open Spaces.

Inner Life : Reflecting the Unique Work-Life Balance of Artists
The Studio, a Deeply Personalized Space, Carefully Balances Privacy and Social Life. Configuration of Walls Helps to Delineate Personal Spaces with Communal Spaces for Interactions Like Hosting while Showcasing their Personalized Room. The One-Bedroom Unit that Artists may Reside as a Couple takes into account Two Discrete Life Patterns to Coexist. The Division of Living and Working Areas while it Appears to be One Cohesive Space Accommodates Two Different Life Patterns. For Artist Couples with an Infant, the Two-Bedroom Unit Considers Two Different Human Scales within a Single Unit, while Bleeding Activities and Visual Connectivity.

Throughout Precedent Studies during Core II and Core III, Witnessing Pre-Determined and Rigid Living Environments has Triggered a Question on Transformative Potentials in Architecture. This Proposal Involves Artists that are Highly Eager to Personalize and Shape their Given Environment. How Work is an Inseparable Part of their Lives and their Unique Life Pattern are Considered to Foster Social Cohesion. As the Project Expands from Living Spaces to Common Spaces, it Aims to Provide Multiple Scales of Architectural Depths that could be Possessed, Shaped, and Thrived by the Users. The Indeterminate Nature of the Third Space could be Interpreted Autonomously by the Individuals.
